Terms of Service

Last updated: April 10, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the IFIGO mobile app, related cloud services, and this website. By creating an account, accessing the service, or using IFIGO, you agree to these Terms.

1. What IFIGO is

IFIGO is a service for storing journals, vault items, recipient assignments, security prompts, notification settings, encrypted backup data, and sendout-related information so selected content can be prepared and delivered if your check-ins stop.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use IFIGO. If you use the service on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

3. Accounts and authentication

You may access IFIGO using supported authentication methods, including Firebase-backed sign-in providers such as Google or Apple where available. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, your device, and your sign-in methods.

4. Your content

You are solely responsible for the content you create, store, assign, back up, or send through IFIGO, including journals, vault items, attachments, recipient details, email addresses, security questions, and security answers.

You represent that you have the right to store and transmit that content, and that sending it to your chosen recipients does not violate any law, contract, confidentiality obligation, or third-party right.

5. Recipient responsibility

You are responsible for choosing trusted recipients, providing accurate recipient information, and deciding what content each recipient should receive. You are also responsible for the security question and answer you configure for each recipient package.

6. Sendout workflow

IFIGO may prepare encrypted, password-protected PDF packages based on the journals and vault items you assigned to each recipient. These packages are generated on your device before upload. The latest package for a recipient may be uploaded to cloud storage so that the cloud sendout system can use it later.

The cloud service stores and sends the encrypted package file, but does not know, store, or recover the PDF password itself. You are responsible for the recipient security setup, including the question and answer used to protect package access.

If your configured missed-check-in threshold is reached, IFIGO may trigger an emergency sendout workflow that sends the prepared package by email to the relevant recipient. Sendout emails may include the configured security question.

7. No guarantee of delivery or outcome

You understand and agree that IFIGO cannot guarantee that notifications will be delivered, that a check-in reminder will always appear, that a scheduled cloud job will always run at the exact intended time, that a recipient email provider will accept delivery, or that a recipient will successfully receive, open, or access a package.

Sendout behavior may be affected by device state, notification permissions, token validity, cloud service availability, subscription status, network conditions, app configuration, storage object availability, email filtering, or inaccurate recipient information.

8. Backups

If you enable backups, IFIGO may generate encrypted backup files and store them in Google Drive on Android or iCloud Drive on iOS. Backup and restore depend on the availability of required account access, encryption material, provider functionality, and compatible app behavior.

You are responsible for managing and deleting backup files stored in your connected provider account where applicable.

9. Security features

IFIGO may provide features such as encrypted local storage, PIN protection, failed-attempt lockouts, background blur, clipboard clearing, and related privacy controls. These features are intended to improve privacy and security, but they do not guarantee absolute protection.

10. Subscriptions and paid features

Some IFIGO features may require an active paid subscription. Subscription processing, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are subject to the terms and rules of the applicable app store and related subscription platforms, including RevenueCat where used to manage entitlement state.

If your paid status lapses, paid features, including automatic sendout-related functionality, may stop or become limited.

11. Permissions and platform dependencies

Some features require device permissions or platform services, including notifications, camera access, media or photo access, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, Firebase services, or app store services. If required permissions or services are unavailable, disabled, revoked, or fail, parts of IFIGO may not work correctly.

12. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Use IFIGO for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes.
  • Store or transmit malicious code, malware, or unlawful content.
  • Attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service.
  • Use the service in a way that violates privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual property rights of others.
  • Use IFIGO to send content to recipients without appropriate authority or consent where required.

13. Data deletion and account termination

You may stop using IFIGO at any time. If you delete your account from within the app, IFIGO may remove local data and attempt related operational cleanup. Some third-party stored data, such as backups in your connected cloud storage, may require separate deletion depending on provider behavior and your configuration.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create risk for the service or others.

14. Third-party services

IFIGO depends on third-party services, which may include Firebase, Google, Apple, RevenueCat, push notification infrastructure, email delivery providers, Google Drive, and iCloud Drive. We are not responsible for outages, delays, data loss, access problems, policy changes, or failures caused by third-party services.

15. Intellectual property

The IFIGO service, software, branding, design, and related materials are owned by IFIGO or its licensors, except for the content you provide. These Terms do not give you ownership of the service itself.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

IFIGO is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of availability, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IFIGO and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, backup availability, sendout outcome, recipient access, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of the service.

You acknowledge that IFIGO is a supportive tool and not a guaranteed legal, estate, notification, or emergency delivery system.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IFIGO and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your content, your recipients, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.

19. Changes to the service or Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of IFIGO at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
