Terms of Service

Last updated: September 3, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the IFIGO mobile app, website, cloud services, backup features, notifications, subscriptions, protected-package features, and automatic delivery (together, "IFIGO" or the "service"). By creating an account or using IFIGO, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

IFIGO is designed to help you keep private information, prepare protected packages for trusted recipients, and automatically deliver those packages after the configured missed-check-in period when the service requirements are met. IFIGO is a supportive tool, not a substitute for legal, estate, emergency, medical, or professional planning.

1. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use IFIGO.
  • You are responsible for keeping your device, app account, sign-in provider account, Screen Lock PIN, cloud storage accounts, and shared-memory answers secure.
  • You authorize IFIGO to use supported sign-in providers and cloud services to identify your account, operate the service, and protect access to account features.
  • You must provide accurate account, recipient, and subscription information where required for the service to work properly.

2. Your content and responsibilities

You may create journals, vault items, attachments, recipients, shared-memory questions and answers, settings, backups, and recipient assignments. You remain responsible for your content and for deciding which content is assigned to each recipient.

  • You must have the rights and permissions needed to store, back up, process, and send any content you add to IFIGO.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of recipient email addresses, shared-memory questions and answers, recipient assignments, daily check time, and missed-check-in setting.
  • You understand that selected recipients may receive assigned content automatically if the missed-check-in deadline is reached and the service requirements, including applicable subscription requirements, permit delivery.
  • You should not store information in IFIGO unless you are comfortable protecting it with your own device, account, and backup security choices.

3. Security, encryption, and backup limits

IFIGO uses security measures such as encrypted local storage, device-based security controls, encrypted backups where enabled, and password-protected recipient packages. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee complete security.

Recipient packages are prepared and password-protected on your device before upload. IFIGO's servers do not receive or store the shared-memory answer used as the password needed to open the recipient package. However, IFIGO processes operational data needed to manage packages, check-ins, notifications, subscriptions, and delivery. Recipient name, email address, and shared-memory question needed for cloud delivery are encrypted server-side before storage.

You are responsible for remembering or safely preserving the PINs, passwords, shared-memory answers, account access, and backup access needed to use protected content. If these are lost, IFIGO may not be able to restore or recover affected data.

Backups may be stored in Google Drive or iCloud Drive when enabled. These providers are outside IFIGO's direct control. IFIGO cleanup flows attempt to delete IFIGO backup files when applicable, but provider outages, access problems, provider-side retention, or copies outside IFIGO's control may affect deletion.

4. Cloud features, package sync, check-ins, and automatic delivery

To operate settings sync, check-ins, notifications, subscription access, package synchronization, package cleanup, and automatic delivery, you authorize IFIGO to process the account data, settings, recipient information, package metadata, notification data, and delivery information needed for those features.

When package preparation is available for your account, IFIGO keeps recipient-specific protected packages up to date on your device as relevant content or recipient information changes. The packages are password-protected before upload. This advance preparation allows the cloud service to send the latest verified package later even if your phone is offline, powered off, uninstalled, or otherwise unavailable.

The cloud service keeps the authoritative missed-check-in schedule. Disabling notification permission, losing network access on the phone, or not seeing a reminder does not by itself pause the server-side missed-check-in period. You are responsible for using the explicit I'm OK action when you intend to acknowledge a check-in.

A normal check-in acknowledgement is intended to reset the check-in period only before automatic delivery has taken ownership of the delivery lifecycle. Once delivery has started, a later acknowledgement does not cancel or undo a package that is already being sent or has already been submitted to the email provider.

Automatic delivery is a supportive tool only. It is not a guaranteed emergency, legal, estate, medical, compliance, or notification system. Network or cloud outages, permissions, subscription status, incorrect settings, missing or invalid recipient data, package preparation problems, email provider behavior, spam filtering, or other issues may delay, prevent, duplicate, or otherwise affect delivery.

5. Notifications and permissions

IFIGO may request permissions such as notifications, camera, media/photo access, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, and sign-in access. You can change permissions in your device or provider settings. Disabling permissions may limit features such as daily reminders, photo capture, backups, package synchronization, and restore. As explained above, disabling notification permission does not by itself stop the cloud check-in deadline.

6. Subscriptions and paid features

  • Package preparation/synchronization and automatic-delivery features may require an active paid subscription.
  • Purchases, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and chargebacks are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play and may be managed through RevenueCat where applicable.
  • If your subscription lapses, is canceled, expires, cannot be verified, or payment fails, paid features may pause, stop, or become unavailable.
  • Subscription entitlement information may be processed so IFIGO can enable, pause, restore, or verify paid features.
  • Completing automatic delivery does not automatically cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription. The subscription remains subject to the store's normal billing lifecycle until you or the store changes it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use IFIGO for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or deceptive purposes.
  • Store, transmit, or send malicious code, malware, unlawful content, or content that violates another person's rights.
  • Use IFIGO to harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm others.
  • Attempt to bypass security controls, abuse cloud resources, reverse engineer the service, or interfere with service operation.
  • Add recipients or send content without appropriate authority, consent, or legal basis where required.

8. Data deletion, Reset App, and account deletion

IFIGO provides different cleanup actions with different effects:

  • Delete All Data removes journals, vault items, recipients, protected packages, and IFIGO backups while preserving app/check-in settings and existing delivery status.
  • Reset App removes app content, protected packages, backups, and notification/delivery state, restores default app and check-in settings, and restarts check-ins. It preserves the account, subscription state, and Screen Lock PIN.
  • Delete Account is permanent. The app attempts to remove local app data, IFIGO-controlled cloud data, protected packages, notifications, delivery state, and IFIGO backups before deleting the Firebase Auth account. Recent authentication may be required by the sign-in provider.

Cleanup may be affected by third-party provider availability, retention, legal requirements, security needs, billing records, fraud prevention, and service logs. If required account-deletion cleanup cannot complete, the app may report that deletion failed instead of reporting a successful account deletion.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for IFIGO or others, misuse the service, or if required by law or service-provider rules.

9. Third-party services

IFIGO depends on third-party services, including Firebase and Google Cloud, Google and Apple sign-in services, Google Drive and iCloud Drive, the Apple App Store and Google Play, RevenueCat, and Brevo transactional email. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. IFIGO is not responsible for third-party outages, delays, data loss, access problems, security incidents, policy changes, account restrictions, or failures.

10. Intellectual property

IFIGO's software, branding, design, content, and related materials are owned by IFIGO or its licensors, except for content you provide. These Terms do not give you ownership of IFIGO itself. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from the service except as permitted by law.

11. Disclaimers

IFIGO is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of availability, reliability, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, successful backup, successful restore, successful notification, successful automatic delivery, or recipient access.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IFIGO and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, access, backups, packages, notifications, automatic-delivery outcome, recipient delivery, recipient access, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IFIGO and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your recipients, your use of IFIGO, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights.

14. Changes to the service or Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of IFIGO at any time. We may update these Terms to reflect product, security, operational, legal, or provider changes. Updated Terms will be posted here. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
